PRACTICAL SKILLS WEEK ITINERARY

The Practical Skills Week takes place in Perth, Western Australia

DATE TBA 

5 day pre-clinical program held after completion of the Online Theory module, in Perth, Western Australia.  Assessment is by Objective Structured Clinical Examinations (OSCEs).

 

During the Practical Skills week delegates are taught all of the foundation skills required for dental implantology including: 

 

  • Patient assessment & treatment planning

  • Computerised treatment planning (using CBCT software)

  • Guided and non guided methods including guide fabrication

  • Single and multiple unit implant placement (using bone models)

  • Flap design and techniques (using pig heads)

  • Suturing techniques (using mucosa models and pig heads)

  • Ridge preservation

  • Bone augmentation techniques (using pig heads)

  • Prosthetic protocols
